About this Blog

Most of the material on this blog dates from my years working as an independent software industry analyst, specialising in SOA and related technologies, with their business application. On this blog you will find general material on vendors as well as industry analysts. I have always been critical of the research practices of the large industry analyst firms, and was trying to explore better ways of providing a joined-up view of software industry, combining greater rigour and integrity with more practical insight and value.

I now work as a consultant with Glue Reply, where I am head of the Data and Intelligence practice. My main blog is Richard Veryard on Architecture (RSS), where you will find material on SOA, BPM, EDA, as well as Enterprise Architecture.

From time to time, I will continue to add comments on the software industry here, as well as reports on technology products and trends. All past and present opinions here are my own and do not represent my employer.
